Super Sorted

The Industry Talks About Tolerances. We Talk About Outcomes.

Walk into any pro shop today and you'll see packages covered in numbers. Straightness tolerances. Weight tolerances. Spine tolerances. Every manufacturer has a specification they want you to notice, and those numbers certainly have their place. The problem is that many archers have been led to believe those numbers tell the whole story about an arrow's performance. They don't.

After years of building arrows and listening to hunters, we've come to believe there's a much more important question. When you pull two arrows from the same dozen, will they actually perform the same?

That's the question that matters when you're shooting broadheads at forty yards, trying to stack arrows in the ten ring, or settling your pin behind the shoulder of a mature buck. Because in those moments, you're not thinking about straightness tolerances or spine charts. You're counting on the arrow you've nocked to fly exactly like the one you practiced with all summer.

That's why we've never viewed arrow quality the same way much of the industry does.

Most companies talk about measurements. We've always been more interested in outcomes.

If every arrow in a dozen doesn't perform the same, the individual specifications don't mean nearly as much as the package might suggest.

Looking Beyond One Number

One of the biggest misconceptions in archery is that a single specification defines the quality of an arrow. For years, straightness has received most of the attention, and there's no question it's important. But straightness is only one piece of a much larger puzzle.

Imagine two arrows that are equally straight. If one shaft has a noticeably different spine, it won't flex the same way during the shot. It may tune differently, react differently with a broadhead, or impact in a different place downrange. The same is true if weight varies significantly from one arrow to the next. Each variable affects the others, and that's why evaluating only one measurement can create a false sense of consistency.

We've always believed accuracy isn't created by one impressive number. It's created when all of the important variables work together.

The Three Variables That Matter

At Black Eagle, we believe there are three measurements that determine whether arrows will truly perform alike: spine, straightness, and weight.

Those three characteristics influence every shot you take. If one changes, performance changes. That's why our premium arrows aren't simply checked for straightness and boxed. Every shaft is Super Sorted™ for spine, straightness, and weight so the arrows in your dozen are as consistent as we can make them.

The goal isn't to produce one exceptional arrow.

The goal is to produce twelve arrows that are virtually indistinguishable from one another.

That may sound like a small difference, but it's one you can see on the target.

Consistency Creates Confidence

Most experienced bowhunters can remember a time when one arrow in the quiver simply seemed to shoot better than the others. Maybe it grouped tighter. Maybe it became the "lucky arrow" that always went into the bow when the shot mattered most.

We've never liked that idea.

You shouldn't have one favorite arrow.

Every arrow in your quiver should earn that level of confidence.

When arrows are matched for spine, straightness, and weight, broadheads tend to tune more easily. Groups become more predictable. Small variables that can slowly open groups at longer distances are reduced. More importantly, you stop wondering whether the arrow was the problem.

You focus on executing the shot.

That's exactly where your attention belongs.

Why Outcomes Matter More Than Specifications

Specifications are easy to print on a package.

Results have to be earned.

That's why we've always believed hunters and competitive archers should judge arrows by how they perform, not simply by the numbers printed on the label. Tight tolerances are important, but they're only meaningful if they translate into tighter groups, better broadhead flight, and greater confidence in the field.

That's what Super Sorted™ was designed to accomplish.

Not to create another marketing term.

To build arrows that perform consistently every time you reach into the quiver.

One Arrow

Every hunt eventually comes down to a single moment.

Every tournament eventually comes down to a single shot.

When that moment arrives, you don't get to choose your favorite arrow. You shoot the one that's already nocked.

That's why we've never believed confidence comes from owning one exceptional arrow.

Confidence comes from knowing every arrow in your quiver is worthy of the shot.

That's the idea behind Super Sorted™.

It's been part of who we are since we founded Black Eagle in 2011, and it's still the standard we build every premium arrow to today.
